Tax Refund Season is the Time to Remodel

The holidays are over, the new year has begun, and soon tax refund season will be here. As we continue to spend more time at home, this is the perfect opportunity to create a living space you can enjoy. A few well-chosen home improvements will not only improve your quality of life but may increase your home’s value as well.

Here are some projects to consider:

  • Frequently used bathrooms can look worn and dingy. Change out the faucets and mirror for an easy update. Replace the existing floor with a bright, easy-to-clean tile for a brand new look.
  • The kitchen is often the center of the home. Install new resilient flooring to this high-traffic area and a fresh coat of paint to the walls to update this room’s feel.
  • Living spaces should be somewhere you can relax, unwind, and spend time with family. Create an inviting setting with new carpeting or hardwood floors that fit your decor and lifestyle.

Let us help you make your time spent at home enjoyable and add value to your home as well.

Why Fall is Fantastic for Flooring Installation

With the holidays right around the corner, fall is the perfect time to replace the flooring in your home, and Celtic Flooring is here to help! Let us share with you why fall is the best time to install new flooring in your home.

Comfortable Flooring Installation

When installing flooring, doors will be open a lot. Removing old flooring and bringing in new materials will mean when it’s too warm or too cold, your home will be uncomfortable. In the summer, your AC will work overtime; in the winter, your heat will.

Fewer Changes to Materials

Flooring installation in spring or summer can be risky because of humidity and rain. Natural materials can swell, becoming distorted when the material shrinks. Additionally, any flooring that needs adhesive may not set correctly when it is too warm. When it is too cold, wood flooring can dry out or shrink, which can lead to separation or cracking.

You’ll Want Ventilation and Fresh Air

New floors and carpeting can release fumes and odors from adhesives, sealers, stains, and off-gassing. You may want the windows open for ventilation to get rid of fumes and odors.
